Marching Ford Field Information 2010

Parents,

Well we made it to States!! Now there is all kinds of new information.

 

Ford Field as well as maps and directions are on the event page. I know it is a lot but please read it all. There is a list of items that you may NOT bring to Ford Field, so please don't miss that. Most important...don't forget to bring Cash. That is all the ticket windows will accept.

 

A few other important things:

FOR THOSE NEW TO MARCHING THIS YEAR: They will be selling round MCBA Patches at Ford Field. You do NOT need to purchase these. The band will be providing them as well as the finalist rockers to go around it.

 

Please try to get your student to eat something before they leave on Saturday morning. We will have a snack when the band is done performing but breakfast before they leave would be good too. It would be a good idea to send your student with some money to get something from the concessions as well. Remember that it is Ford Field so they are not always cheap. They should also bring money to buy a state finalist t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, or sweatshirt if they would like one. If you are attending then it is easier for you to do that.

 

The band's schedule is still be finalized but will be sent shortly. The band will probably only be staying through our flight. (This is a change from the last meeting) However if you would like to stay later with your student to see flight 1, you are welcome to do that. Attached is the release form that you should fill out if you are planning for your student to not return on the bus with the band.

 

The food moms have planned an end of the season party for Saturday night. It is a family party, so everyone is welcome. It is a carry-in with the main dish provided by the band. The invitation and RSVP is attached. For anyone who would like to see Flight 1 bands, you are welcome to come after that. They assure me the party will still be going on. (Food moms throw good parties, so I assume they are right.)

 

The list of people that volunteered for props/equipment should be done tomorrow. You will get more info on that later this week.
